Measure Fit and Depth of Utilization of Current Systems

Tools inside ERP Navigator help you determine the potential fit of your current systems to your requirements and the level of utilization of the system by your employees.

The fit assessment component helps you determine the potential for the system in fulfilling your needs. The fit assessment includes the currently-owned version of the software as well as the most current available through an upgrade.

The utilization assessment component helps you improve the use of your current system by measuring your current state of use. Improvement requires control, and control requirements measurement. It’s this measurement – similar to a financial or quality system audit – that provides a benchmark of performance on which to build.

ERP System Selection

Every ERP system is a significant investment in money, time, resources, and effort. Meaden & Moore’s ERP Navigator cuts the time, effort, and cost to identify appropriate ERP systems. First, ERP Navigator provides a high-level scoping and detailed requirements-building framework to guide your prioritization efforts. Second, ERP Navigator contains research on the capabilities of about 90 ERP and 30 CRM systems to fulfill up to 2,500 attributes.

Pre-Implementation Planning

Rather than trying to implement a complex software solution on your own, take advantage of Meaden & Moore’s expertise, and get the most from your technology investments. One of the first steps in a new ERP or CRM system implementation is the vendor’s “Business Process Review.” During this exercise, the software company’s implementers survey the company’s users and build a requirements document, a recipe or roadmap to guide the implementation. Companies that use ERP Navigator in the system selection phase have already built the implementation roadmap, thereby accelerating the implementation planning process.

Post-Implementation Audit

Following the go-live event on an upgrade to or replacement of an ERP or CRM system, a company needs to ensure that their employees are using the new system as designed. The original implementation roadmap – that set of requirements defined during the selection or implementation startup – defines how the employees should be using the system. ERP Navigator provides the means to audit, score, and report how well the company’s employees’ use of the new system complies with the intended design.

Similar in theory to the utilization assessment, the basis for this feature of ERP Navigator is a measurement that leads to control – and ultimately standardized use – of the system.

ERP Navigator provides companies the ability to take periodic audits themselves or through an independent auditor so they can measure system utilization, thus user acceptance and adoption, over time. Meaden & Moore recommends annual audits to measure both compliance and improvement.
