Meaden & Moore Sponsors CSU's CPA Camp
On July 15, 2019 Meaden & Moore had a lot of fun meeting students who participated in Cleveland State University's (CSU) CPA Camp.
CSU's CPA Camp is an event organized by the Ohio Society of CPAs. It focuses on introducing high school students who have expressed an interest in pursuing a degree in Accounting to all of the opportunities the field offers.
Throughout the day, these students participated in workshops with other Cleveland area high school students and toured the offices of various businesses in the Cleveland area. During their office tours, they learned what the organizations do, how the accounting degree is used within that organization and hear from current employees who turned their accounting degree into a worth-while career at the organization.
Our employees came together to give these students a great experience by giving them an overview of Meaden & Moore, providing them with an office tour and giving a presentation called, "Why You Should Study Accounting" by our very own Adel Shoman. Finally, they participated in an interactive activity with Jacob Zalatel, where he demonstrated to the students how they already use accounting in their everyday lives.
