Kendra Philon Selected as an OSCPAs Power of Change Honoree

On July 18th, during the Women, Wealth & Wellness Conference organized byWilliams_2022_Headshot The Ohio Society of CPAs, our colleague, Kendra Philon, CPA, Vice President in our Assurance Services Group was recognized as a Power of Change honoree.

The conference provides a platform for women in accounting and finance to explore ways to empower themselves and each other. The Power of Change recognition was awarded to 12 exceptional women who advocate for the accounting profession, serve as mentors and role models, and make a significant community impact. Kendra's nomination was submitted by James P. Carulas, CPA, Chief Executive Officer of Meaden & Moore. Here is an overview of his nomination:

“Kendra Philon, is a beacon of empowerment and progress. Her leadership, mentorship, and advocacy have significantly elevated women in her community and workplace. Through her work with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Group and the American Heart Association’s 'Go Red for Women' campaign, Kendra tirelessly fosters a supportive and inclusive environment. Her dedication to community service and professional development makes her an inspiration and a catalyst for positive change,” said James P. Carulas, CPA, Chief Executive Officer of Meaden & Moore.

Kendra has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting and serves as the leader of the not-for-profit practice. She oversees staff, reviews financial statements, collaborates with clients and accounting staff to address problem areas, and develops growth strategies. Learn more about Kendra here.
