Carlin Culbertson was recently appointed to the Great Lakes Regional Prevention Council for Child Abuse and Child Neglect Prevention by the Cuyahoga County Executive (Armond Budish). Working for the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund, the Council oversees the region, which is made up of Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties for the OCTF.
The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund has a very simple goal “to prevent child abuse and neglect through investing in strong communities, healthy families and safe children.” To ensure that, they focus on parents, caregivers, and professionals who serve families. They are Ohio’s sole, dedicated public funding source for child abuse and neglect prevention, responsible for:
- Providing grants to other agencies and nonprofits that provide programs in their communities.
- Providing resources and education to parents and caregivers to help them manage stress, find support and services, and build stronger foundations for their families.
- Providing training and education to professionals who provide services to families.
- Annual awareness campaigns each April to educate the public about child abuse and neglect prevention.
Carlin is a Vice President in Meaden & Moore’s Assurance Services Group. With over 14 years in public accounting, Carlin has extensive auditing experience serving a wide variety of clients in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, mining, biotechnology, and distribution. He’s responsible for planning, executing, and managing audits and reviews of large privately held companies and small publicly held companies, with a focus on providing an exceptional client experience and adding value outside of the assurance work.
