On January 15th, Angelina Milo attended the Annual Akron Urban League breakfast to celebrate Martin Luther King Day.
This year marked the 60th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech. This historic speech outlines America’s racial injustice and encourages us to hold our country accountable to its founding promises of freedom, justice, and equality.
Everyone gathered in fellowship to celebrate Dr. King’s historic call to action for civil and economic rights and hear the inspiring story of featured speaker Dr. Michael Forbes, Akron Children’s Hospital’s chief academic officer, as he shares his childhood dream that became a reality.
Live music was performed by Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Ensemble and The LeGrair Brothers: Durrell, Emmanuel, and Jaron.
